Welcome to Pharma Cabinet (referred to as "the App"). We are fully committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with absolute transparency. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect and Process

1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App is designed as a local-first application. The following information is stored directly on your device's secure local storage (using MMKV and Redux-Persist):

• Medicine Inventory: Names, active ingredients, dosage forms, manufacturer labels, and quantities of the medications you add.
• Schedules and Reminders: Information regarding what times and intervals you should take your medications.
• Dosage History: Logs of when you have taken, skipped, or modified your schedules.

1.2 Device Permissions We Request

To provide advanced features, the App requests specific hardware and system permissions. These are processed locally:

• Camera Access: Used exclusively to scan medicine packages and boxes (utilizing on-device Text Recognition/OCR). The video feed and captured images are processed strictly in memory on your physical device. No photos or video data are transmitted to the developer or any external servers.
• Notifications: Used to display local alerts and sound notifications when it is time to take your scheduled medications.
• Document Picker / Files: Used when you import or export backups, or when you export your cabinet details as a PDF file.

1.3 Third-Party Integrations

If you choose to use optional third-party integrations, data is handled as follows:

• Google Sign-in / Google Drive Sync: If you use the backup feature, the App authenticates you directly using Google Sign-in. The App uploads encrypted database ZIP files directly into your personal Google Drive account in a dedicated space. The developer has no access to your Google credentials, your account, or the files stored in your Google Drive.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data stored on your device to execute core application functionalities:

• Displaying medicine schedules and inventory alerts.
• Configuring on-device push reminders.
• Enabling search, filtering, and text recognition scans of medicine boxes.
• Generating PDF reports of your medicine list at your request.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal health logs or inventory data with any third parties. Because all data is stored locally on your device (or synced directly to your own Google Drive), we have no technical access to your medicine logs and cannot disclose them even if requested by third parties or legal entities.

4. Security of Your Data

We employ standard operating system-level encryption (via Android/iOS secure sandboxing and MMKV local encryption) to secure files locally. It is your responsibility to secure access to your physical device (e.g., using passwords, PINs, or biometric locks) and to handle exported files (like PDFs or ZIP backups) safely.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your information is stored locally, it remains on your device until:

• You manually delete specific medicines or logs inside the App settings.
• You uninstall the App from your device (which automatically purges all locally cached app data).

If you have backed up your data to Google Drive, you can delete those backups at any time by deleting the backup folder inside your Google Drive settings or removing the App’s access to your Google Account.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the App or send any personal data through the App without parental consent.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we introduce changes, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
